On the occasion of World Health Day, which is celebrated on April 7, the Pancypriot Medical Association (PIS) with its announcement invites the state " ?to proceed quickly with the necessary corrective actions that will lead to the rationalization of the Health System so that it becomes viable, functional, serves in a timely and qualitative manner and does not inconvenience the patient”.
PIS also calls on the State to complete the established plans to support public hospitals so that they truly become the backbone of the NHS, as well as to implement an effective supervisory control mechanism.
"For us at the Pancypriot Medical Association, health and our patients are a priority 365 days a year. Every day is a fight for health, a fight for the lives of our patients”, it is pointed out.
"This is why the PIS leadership sends the message to all members of the Association, whether they work in the public or private sector, contracted or not with the National Health Service and of every specialty, that it remains at the forefront of ensuring appropriate and safe working conditions and defending the scientific prestige of medicine community of Cyprus”, concludes the announcement.
