The claim of the family of a 17-year-old boy, who seems to be involved in last night's events in Ypsonas and the pursuit that followed, that his injury comes from a bullet is rejected by the Police, whose members are continuing intensive investigations.
As mentioned in a previous article, shortly before midnight on Tuesday there were incidents of stone pelting and molotov cocktails being thrown at a Police patrol car by a group of young people who had previously caused a ruckus.
“Two patrols of the ADE Limassol rushed to the area and called for reinforcements. While the police were waiting, around 11:45, a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a patrol car and exploded on the roof of the vehicle, causing a fire. The fire caused damage to the roof and the headlights of the patrol car,” said the Head of the TAE Limassol, Lefteris Kyriakou, in his statements about the episode.
