The activities, workshops and equipment available at the Training Center for Land and Maritime Security and Port Security (CYCLOPS) in Larnaca, were presented in the afternoon to the President of of Estonia Alan Karis, during his visit.
In statements after the visit, Xenia Strouthou, assistant operator, who performs the duties of Assistant Director, stated that “today there was a presentation of the Center, the workshops that there is also the equipment we have for the humanitarian corridor in Gaza but also the trainings we offer”.
He added that the President of Estonia was also informed about “the trainings that take place at the Centre, to officials and officials from various countries, such as Lebanon and Libya, i.e. mainly from countries in the Middle East and Africa but also from Balkan and European countries and the United States”.
As explained by Ms. Strouthou, “the Center hosts trainings on topics related to, among others, terrorism, security, weapons of mass destruction and drugs”.
