On Friday night (11/6, 22:00) the Euro starts with the premiere Turkey-Italy and from Saturday the obligations of… ours begin.
A total of nine Cypriot footballers are participating in the big event, with four different national teams in different groups.
Northern Macedonia has the most… “Cypriots”: Triskovski and Spirovski of AEK, Siskovski of Doxa and the newly acquired defender of AEL Ristevski (3rd group with Austria, Netherlands, Ukraine).
Slovakia has the “Omonia” Hubocan and Douris (5th group with Poland, Spain, Sweden) while Hungary has the also “green” Lang (6th group with France, Germany, Portugal). Finally, Finland has the “Paphites” Arayuri and Valakari (2nd group with Belgium, Denmark, Russia).
In total, in ten of the 13 days that the Euro group stage will last (11-23 / 6), there will be a national match in which a player / players of the Cypriot championship is sent and we expect to see who and how many will play in the big organization.
