The process of counting the votes for the selection of the three Hierarchs has been completed, whose names will be put before the Holy Synod for the nomination of the new Metropolitan of Paphos. Archimandrite Ioannis Ioannou and Bishop Amathustos Nikolaos make up the three persons from which the Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus will select the next Metropolitan of Paphos, according to the final results of the elections in the metropolitan district of Paphos.
Specifically, according to a statement issued by the General Election Officer of the Diocese of Paphos, Ioannis Harilaou, the turnout rate is 25.92%. a percentage of 50.01%. Followed by Archimandrite Ioannis Ioannou, Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Cyprus and Abbot of the Monastery of Apostolos Varnavas, who secured 3,996 votes and a percentage of 29.99%, and Bishop Amathustos Nikolaos, with 1,942 votes and a percentage of 14.57%.
Bishop Christoforos of Karpasia, who received 674 votes or a percentage of 5.06%, as well as 26 other people who received a total of 49 votes or a percentage of 0.39%, remains outside the three-person group.

The percentage of valid ballots was 98.56%, invalid 1.24% and blank 0.20%.
