All works are expected to be completed
The roads on which work is being done for the Sewerage System in the areas of Dromolaxia – Meneu and Kiti.
According to a statement by the Provincial Self-Government Organization (EOA) of Larnaca “all the works concerning the active open work fronts for the sewage system, in the areas of Dromolaxia – Meneu and Kiti, are expected to be completed and all roads will be opened to traffic on August 10 . The works for the first 300 meters of the section of the Meneo – Pervolion road (Lemonia area) have been completed.”
It is added that despite the fact that “according to the project schedule and the permit for temporary closure, part of the Meneo – Pervolia road would normally be closed for the period of July 18 to September 12, however for the purposes of facilitating the public, EOA Larnaca , gave it yesterday, temporarily in circulation. The road will be closed again on August 26 for the continuation of the works”.
As for the works on sections of Archbishop Makarios Avenue, Assias and Akanthous, they will start on August 23.
In the announcement of EOA Larnaca it is also mentioned that “in the areas of Kiti and Pervolia the works will stop for the summer holidays from August 10 to 18. Sections of Naxos and Ikaria streets will remain closed, as well as Aegialousis and Tremetousia streets.”
As for the works “in Tersefanou, they will stop for the summer holidays from August 10 to 18. Sections of Ithakis, Thessaloniki, Antonaki Kallis and Georgiou Seferis streets will remain closed, while the section of Ithakis street that affects Kitiou – Mazotos avenue will be open to traffic”
