The situation in the catering industry is now at a marginal level due to the economic consequences that have accumulated the measures implemented in the last two years and especially after the “case” that the industry suffered from the pandemic bans. Industry players are convinced that unfortunately the situation is now irreversible for many companies in the industry, after the damage they suffered mainly at Christmas due to the exclusion of many of their potential customers, as a result of decisions to move unvaccinated citizens.

These developments, according to estimates by the representatives of the leisure centers of Paphos, create for a large percentage of businesses a nightmarish scene this dead winter season, since it is no longer certain that it will be able to continue operating to a degree that is economically viable. The president of the Association of Owners of Leisure Centers of Paphos, Angelos Onisiforou, in his statements to “F” emphasizes that the financial loss from the measures of the holidays, skyrocketed the despair of those involved in the industry.
