The Speaker of the House of Representatives Dr. Adamos Adamou visited the Central Prison today at noon, where he was welcomed by the Director of Prisons Mrs. Anna Aristotelous.
During his visit, the Speaker of Parliament referred to the important role played by the penitentiary system, the correct approach and decent living conditions of prisoners, while emphasizing the importance of the most humane approach and psychological support of these individuals.
Leaving Dr. Adamos Adamou handed over to the Directorate of Prisons a 65-inch television, for the entertainment and information of the prisoners and wished everyone health, strength, patience, expressing the hope that the new year will bring an end to the pandemic and the end of the health and socio-economic crisis experienced by the whole planet.
It is noted that during the meeting all the protection measures as well as the health protocol were observed.
