Marios Georgiou belongs to the group “Pentadaktylos Kyrenia” and his coach is Panagiotis Petridis. Marios secured qualification for his third participation in the Olympic Games, after participating in the Rio (2016) and Tokyo (2021) Olympics, after winning the gold medal at the European Gymnastics Championships in Rimini, Italy, in the Composite Atom. This success, together with the gold medal he won at the European Gymnastics Championships in Munich, in Monozygo, are the highlights of his career.

The three Cypriot sailors, Pavlos Kontidis (ILCA 7), Marilena Makri (ILCA 6) and Tarantin Denis (Kite) continue their efforts in Marseille.

Today the last two qualifying races in the Olympic Regatta take place, around noon, while tomorrow Tuesday the first ten athletes will claim the medals, transferring the score from the ten races. Pavlos Kontidis is now in second place in the ranking.
