The Cyprus Stock Exchange returned to gains on Tuesday, recapturing the level of 118 points and remaining close to the highest market level of the last almost nine years, 118.12 points, which was recorded last Friday. The General Index closed at 118.03 points, up slightly by 0.32%.
The FTSE/CySE 20 Index closed at 71.40 points, showing an increase 0.31%. The daily turnover amounted to €246,033.
Of the individual stock market indices, only the Alternative Market fell by 0.53%. Hotels showed gains of 0.66%, the Main Market by 0.76% and the Investment sector by 0.88%.
Bank of Cyprus securities attracted the most investment interest with €131,886 (no change – closing price €3.03). Followed by the shares of Vassilikos Cement with €36,462 (fall 0.74% – closing price €2.70), Petrolina with €27,730 (fall 1.77% – closing price €1.11), Hellenic Bank with €17,933 (up 0.79% – closing price €1.915) and Logicom with €12,185 (up 1.82% – closing price €2.24).
Of the shares traded, seven advanced, eight declined and nine remained unchanged. The number of transactions amounted to 210.
Furthermore, the Stock Exchange announced that it has accepted the listing on the Stock Exchange of 25,000 13-Week Treasury Bills of the 6th edition, Series 2023 (23/06/2023 – 22/09/2023) with a face value of €1,000 each, with a total value of €25,000,000, which have resulted from an auction, which was held on June 19, 2023.
The Stock Exchange also reports that it has accepted the simultaneous entry of these Notes into the Central Depository and Central Registry in accordance with the provisions of subsections (1) and (3) of Article 10 of the Cyprus Securities and Stock Exchange (Central Depository and Central Securities Registry) Laws.
He adds that their issue date is June 23, 2023 and the trading code of the Notes that will be admitted to the Bond Market will be ΓΡ13Z23/ΤΒ13F23 and the unique ISIN code CY0240580817.
Trading of the Notes, which bear no interest, will begin on Friday, June 23, 2023.
In addition, the Stock Exchange announced the listing of the Shares of PROSPERTREE PLC, in accordance with Article 58(1) of the CSE Law on the Newly Developing Companies Market (NEA) of the CSE and the simultaneous listing of its shares in the Central Depository Registry of the CSE in accordance with Articles 10(1) and (3) of the Cyprus Securities and Stock Exchange (Central Depository and Central Securities Registry) Law.
It states that the listing is done by the private placement method and the company's Listing Advisor is the company Aeonic Securities C.I.F. Plc.
Adds that the issuer is a company registered in Cyprus and operates mainly in Greece, in the field of management, purchase, sale, use, processing and exploitation of trees and timber production< /p>
The CSE also states that the trading of the above securities will begin on Monday, June 26, 2023 and will take place in Euros (€) and adds that the Stock Exchange will undertake to observe the register of the above securities, in the Central Depository/Register of the CSE.
