The Cyprus Stock Exchange closed on Wednesday with a small drop, with its General Index standing at 165.03 points with a loss of 0.55%

The FTSE/CySE 20 index fell 0.56% to close at 100.37 points. The value of the transactions was 308,249 euros.

In relation to the individual indices, the Main Market had a fall of 0.54%, the Alternative closed with an increase of 0.30%, the Investments also had gains of 0.92 %, while Hotels closed unchanged.

The Bank of Cyprus share had the highest marketability with a trading volume of 187,955.50 euros (closing price of 4,510 euros – down 1.96%), followed by the share of BLUE ISLAND PLC with a trading volume of 28,769.39 euros (closing price of 1,050 euros – unchanged), of Hellenic Bank with a volume of 25,658.35 euros (closing price of 2,640 euros – a drop of 1.86%), of Dimitra Investments with a volume of 18,357.37 euros (closing price of 1,000 euros – an increase of 1.01%) and Petrolina with trading volume €18,072.90 (closing price €0.885 – up 0.57%).

Of the shares traded, 11 moved up, 4 down and one remained unchanged.

The number of transactions was 120.

In addition, the Cyprus Stock Exchange announces the continuation of the suspension of trading of the shares of the company Toxotis Investments Public Ltd, following a decision of the Capital Market Commission which was taken on the basis of the authority granted to it by article 70(2)(m) on Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law of 2017, as applicable from time to time.

The Capital Market Commission decided, as requested by the CSE Council, to suspend the trading of the shares of the said company on the CSE from June 3, 2024, until its compliance and at the latest until June 28, 2024, if by the end of the current period no comply with its obligation to publicize the pending financial information.

The Committee reached the above decision, as the company Toxotis Investments Public Ltd. has not complied with its obligation to publicize its Semi-Annual Financial Report for the period that ended on 30/6/2023 as well as the Annual Financial Report for the year that ended on 31/12/2023, with the result that investors are not provided with the required information on the financial situation of the company in question.
