The hearing of the case of the confessed spouse killer of Tremithousa before the Permanent Criminal Court of Paphos was postponed on Thursday, due to the three-hour warning strike announced by trade unions.< /p>
The Court set the case for February 3, 2023 and ordered that the 74-year-old accused remain in custody.
It is noted that the trial within the main trial continues at the Pafos Criminal Court, in order for the Court to clarify whether certain statements of the 74-year-old accused were made willfully.
The Representative of the Prosecuting Authority, Attorney of the Republic Andreas Hatzikyrou, had reported to the Court that it is not a fact that there was an agreement between the 74-year-old and his wife to kill her. For their part, defense attorneys Nicoleta Charalambidou and Ritsa Pekri had stated that the defense insists that the death of the 75-year-old woman was caused by an agreement.
