The TechIsland Association of Technology Companies announces the TechIsland Awards – a new annual institution designed to recognize and reward the outstanding contributions of individuals, companies and initiatives, which have a significant impact on the promotion and development of the technology and innovation sector in Cyprus.
This year's Awards include seven different categories, and are open to any individual or organization making a significant impact on the technology industry in Cyprus, regardless of size.
“These Awards are designed to recognize and reward the contribution of technology companies as well as entrepreneurs in Cyprus. With the rapid growth of the technology sector in Cyprus, the TechIsland Awards institution aims to inspire and encourage the next generation of technology professionals to push the limits of the impossible and make a significant impact in Cyprus and abroad. The TechIsland Awards recognize candidates who are shaping the future of the technology sector in Cyprus and reward their achievements,” said Alexey Gubarev, Co-Founder of Palta and member of the Board of Directors of the TechIsland NGO.
Nominations for the 2023 TechIsland Awards will soon open via a dedicated website developed for this purpose, and TechIsland NGO members are encouraged to nominate individuals and companies they believe meet these criteria and have a significant impact on the technology sector. The winners of the nominations will be announced at a special ceremony to be held next April.

TechIsland Board members then act as the judging panel for the TechIsland Awards, and will proceed to evaluate all nominations and select winners based on a completely transparent set of criteria. The winners of the TechIsland Awards will be the individuals or companies that have demonstrated outstanding performance and made a positive impact on the country. Their achievements not only advanced the technology sector, but had a positive impact on society, and collectively contributed to the island's economic growth in 2022.”
