The Holy Synod, which was convened exceptionally at noon on Monday, after the death of the Primate of the Church of Cyprus, came to ten decisions. Archbishop Chrysostomos II. 

The session of the Holy Synod lasted a little over an hour and took place after the trisagion in memory of the blessed Archbishop, in the Apostle Barnabas Cathedral, located next to the Archdiocese. After the liturgy, the Metropolitans and Bishops held a Holy Synod, during which they decided, among other things, that the body of the Archbishop should be placed in a lay pilgrimage from Thursday, November 10 until Saturday morning, the day on which the funeral service will be held . However, daily divine service will be held in the Cathedral. 

As stated in the announcement of the Holy Synod, on the occasion of the death of the Archbishop of Cyprus Mr. Chrysostomos II, the Holy Synod of the Holiness Church of Cyprus met today, November 7, 2022, in an extraordinary session, under the chairmanship of His Eminence Metropolitan of Paphos Mr. Georgios Topotiritos of the Archbishop's Throne, exchanged views on the arising issues of those concerned with the exodus following of the immigrant and decided as follows:

1) The death of the blessed Archbishop of Cyprus Mr. Chrysostomos will be announced to the Primates, Patriarchs and Presidents of the Orthodox This and Autonomous Churches, as well as to the Leaders of the other Christian Confessions.

2) Ecclesiastical mourning shall be preached until the day of the exodus procession.

3) A Book of Condolences will be opened at the Office of the late Archbishop from 10 a.m. November 8th until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11th, 2022.

4) The body of the blessed Archbishop of Cyprus Mr. Chrysostom II will be exposed for public pilgrimage in the Cathedral of the Apostle Barnabas, Nicosia, from Thursday , November 10, 2022, until the morning of the day of burial.

5) The exodus service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 12 pm in the Cathedral of Apostle Barnabas, Nicosia. the Archbishop of Constantinople and Ecumenical Patriarch k.c. Bartholomew, together with the members of the Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus.

7) A funeral service will be delivered on behalf of the Church of Cyprus by His Eminence, Metropolitan of Paphos Mr. Georgios, Observer of the Archbishop's Throne.

8) At the time of the exodus, all the bells of the holy Churches of the Island shall sound mournfully and the flags shall remain at half-mast throughout the ecclesiastical mourning.

9) The body of the emigrant shall be buried in the on this prepared tomb under the Cathedral of Apostle Barnabas, according to His expressed wish. On the fortnight, a Divine Liturgy will be held daily in the Cathedral of Apostle Barnabas, for the repose of the soul of the archbishop of Aedim.

10) It will be celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Paphos, Custodian of the Archbishop's Throne, Divine Liturgy and Trisayon, in Cathedral of Apostle Barnabas of Nicosia, on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Trisaya will be held during the Divine Liturgy of that day in all the Holy Churches of the Island.
