They came to Cyprus last January, Jack Byrne and Joe Garner were Mick McCarthy's favorites for the “resurrection” of last year's APOEL.
However, a few months later they leave our island as it was decided that they can not help the blue and yellows.
As for the English forward, APOEL helped a lot last year in a difficult year after the 33-year-old forward scored 9 goals in 15 appearances while giving two assists.
On the other hand, Jack Byrne had only 5 appearances without offering anything special.
So the two footballers came, saw and left an APOEL which is struggling to find its feet.
Garner has already officially left while the official announcement of Jack Byrne's release is expected.
