The University of Nicosia, in collaboration with the Cyprus University of Technology and the CARDET organization implement the action “Migrant Information Center (MIC) (CY / 2020 / AMIF / S02.N02.1.3 / 4)”, through the operation of Information Centers Immigrant (MiHub). The action is co-financed by the Asylum, Immigration and Integration Fund and the Republic of Cyprus and is implemented for the period 15 December 2020 – 14 June 2022.
The purpose of the action is to provide psychological support services to immigrants living in Cyprus, with the aim of their smooth integration into local communities. The MiHub Immigrant Service Centers operate in Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol and Paphos and offer, among other things, information services on immigrants' rights and obligations, translation and interpretation services, housing and employment services, training and referral opportunities to other organizations. .
The provision of these services is possible through a range of methodologies, such as social and psychological support and utilization of communication and information technologies, direct and indirect communication and representation in government and other organizations.
Call for volunteers
MiHub Immigrant Service Centers are looking for people who want to contribute voluntarily by offering Greek and / or English lessons to adults, help writing CVs or looking for housing and employment. Relevant training and supervision will be provided. The opening hours of the Immigrant Service Centers are from 10:00 to 18:00 and on Sundays from 10:00 to 17:00.
