The Vaccination Portal remains open for people 18 years and older

It opened last Friday and the Vaccination Portal will remain open for all ages until all available appointments, which will be available for vaccination, in Vaccination Centers operating throughout Cyprus.

Specifically, the Portal opened on Friday, June 18, for all people aged 18 and over, while it will remain open until the appointments are exhausted.

It is reminded that the intention of the Ministry of Health is at regular intervals to add appointments, with the available vaccines, that will be received.

The Ministry of Health once again urges all citizens to contribute to the huge project that is underway, to vaccinate as large a percentage of the population as possible, thus shielding the entire society.

Meanwhile, as of June 18, 70% of people aged 40-49 have been vaccinated with at least the first dose, 69% of the 50-59 age group, 79.6% of the 60-69 age group, 90.1% from the group of 70-79 years, while in people 80 years and older the vaccination coverage reaches 90.8%.

The vaccination coverage rate for the age group of 30-39 reached close to 50%, while the vaccination rate is low at the ages 18-19 and 20-29 (25.8% and 32.9% respectively). In total, 62% of the population has been vaccinated with the first dose and 44.1% have completed their vaccination plan.

In terms of vaccination coverage by Province, Paphos remains in first place with 68.9%. It is followed by Nicosia with 62.6%, Famagusta with 60.9%, Limassol with 59.2% and Larnaca with 57.5%.
