The volume and value of turnover in retail trade increased in 2021, compared to 2020.
According to the Statistical Service, for the period January-December In 2021, the value index is estimated to have increased by 9.1% and the volume index by 6.6% compared to the same period of 2020.
In December 2021, the Retail Turnover Value Index increased by 6.6%, compared to the corresponding month of 2020.
In the same month, the Retail Turnover Volume Index increased by 1.2% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year .
