The voting process is in progress between the members of POED, in order to authorize the Board of Directors of the Organization, to take possible reaction measures, not excluding the strikers, when necessary, in relation to the serious problems created by the ” deficient protection measures taken against the Covid-19 pandemic in schools, as well as the unjustified and unjustified different treatment of Pre-Primary, Special and Primary Education ”.
Speaking to KYPE, the President of POED Myria Vassiliou, called on all members of the Organization to go to the polls and vote, “with the aim of authorizing the Board to claim the best for the public school and the industry.”
According to Ms. Vassiliou, the voting will end at 16:00.
It is noted that the voting takes place in the Event Hall, POED Head Office, 184 Kyrenias Avenue, Aglantzia, at the K 'Elementary School of Limassol – Agios Panteleimon, Limassol, at the Elementary School of Drosia K.VD – “Michalakis Lorika Paralimniou AD, at the Primary School of Paphos ΙΒ '- “Pefkios Georgiadis” and at the Primary School of Astromeritis.
It is clarified that the members of the Organization can vote in any polling station.
According to the resolution, members of the WTO must answer Yes or No to whether they have been informed of the serious problems posed by the lack of protection measures taken against the Covid-19 pandemic in schools, as well as of the “unjustified and unsubstantiated ”different treatment of Pre-Primary, Special and Primary Education.
It is also stated, with their vote they must authorize the Board of POED to prevent any undocumented separation between Special, Pre-Primary and Primary Education, to claim the provision of safety and health conditions in our schools and to demand their proper and smooth operation, by all legal means that it deems intentional, not excluding the strike measures.
