    However, in terms of daily minimum temperatures, July 2024 ranks 1st,with a total of 13 nights in which there was an extreme minimum high temperature warning in place, followed by 1988 and 2000 with 10 nights and 2009 with 9 nights with a warning in effect.

    Finally, regarding the reference station at Paphos Airport, the Meteorological Department reports that this year's July records a first in terms of the total number of nights with a warning in effect, with 14 nights, while 6 consecutive nights with warning were recorded, compared to July 2023 and 2021, when 7 nights with warning were recorded, with the number this year to record twice as many, and with 4 and 2 consecutive nights with a warning, respectively.
