The free screening program for coronavirus with rapid antigen tests of the workers continues today, Monday, while at the same time the control program of the general population is carried out.
There will be eight sampling points in the city and province of Larnaca today and three in the province of Famagusta.
Specifically in Larnaca, the sampling points will be carried out from 08.30 to 17.30, at the Cultural Center of Agios Georgios Kontos in Larnaca, in the courtyard of the Municipal Theater of Larnaca, at the Church of the Apostle Barnabas in the area of Krasia, in the Spiritual Hall building of the Hermes Aradippou Association in Aradippou, the old Community Council of Oroklini (1 Armonia Street), the Community Council of Kiti and the Community Council of Xylofagos.
In the province of Famagusta, the three sampling points will operate from 08.30 in the morning until 15.30 in the afternoon at the Spiritual Center of the Metropolitan Church of Paralimni, the church of Ayia Napa in Ayia Napa and the Community Council of Frenaros.
Five points in Paphos
The free control programs with rapid antigen test of the general population and the workers continue, with the aim of the continuous monitoring of the community and the workplaces in five points today, Monday in the District of Paphos.
An announcement from the Ministry of Health states that in Paphos there will be five sampling points for the control programs with rapid test in the Lidl Supermarket Parking in Paphos at 49 Alexandrou Ypsilantis Street, from 08:30 to 17:30 in the afternoon, in Proin. Eparchos House on Griva Digeni Street from 08:30 to 17:30 in the afternoon and in the Courtyard parking lot ERA KORIVOS on 2 Dimokratias Avenue near the Paphian Stadium from 08:30 to 17:30 in the afternoon.
Also in the Church of Apostolos Andreas in Polis Chrysochous from 08:30 until 17:30 in the afternoon and in Geroskipou Square at the Post Office also from 08:30 until 17:30 in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, yesterday, out of the 3,671 rapid antigen detection tests, 10 cases were detected in Paphos with a positivity rate of 0.27%. No cases were detected from 1,243 examinations at the National Guard.
It is noted that the program includes the self-employed, as well as people who work as domestic helpers and / or have the responsibility of caring for the elderly or people with disabilities or people who can not self-serve.
In addition, all teachers and school staff must undergo a weekly weekly antigen test. The negative result certificate is a prerequisite for their return to their place of work from March 1 and should be presented during the inspections. At the same time, students are strongly advised to take a rapid test, with the consent of their parents / guardians.
