The free screening programs with rapid antigen test of the general population and workers continue on Thursday, aiming at the continuous monitoring of the community and the workplaces in seven points in the District of Paphos.
For today, the sampling units in the District of Paphos will be located in the Church of the Apostles Paul and Barnabas from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, in the Former House of the Prefect, Paphos (Griva Digeni Street) from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm. and in the courtyard parking lot ERA KORIVOS (2 Dimokratias Avenue, next to the Paphian Stadium) 8.30 am-5.30 pm.
Also in the Church of the Nativity, in Tala (new church) from 9 p.m. until 5 pm, at the Church of Apostle Andrew, Polis Chrysochous from 8.30 am. until 5.30 p.m. in the afternoon, at the Cafe of Geroskipou Square from 8.30 a.m. until 5.30 p.m. afternoon. Also in the Industrial Area of Mesogi (parking lot, next to the Licensing Authority) from 8 a.m. in the morning until 4.30 p.m.
In the meantime, yesterday 1 case of 95 samples was detected, taken as part of the passenger control at Larnaca and Paphos Airports. Also in the District of Paphos a positive test was identified with the percentage of positivity reaching 0.07%.
Besides, without any problems, with organization and smoothness, the vaccinations continue at the General Hospital of Paphos, according to the Director of the Hospital Dr. Spyros Georgiou.
In his statements to KYPE, Dr. Georgiou stated that there are two vaccination teams operating at the Hospital. In one the new vaccinations are done and in the second the vaccinations of the second dose are done. At this time, he noted, the age group of 79 years and over is being vaccinated, according to the platform of the Ministry of Health.
In addition, he mentioned that more than 250 health professionals of Paphos Hospital were vaccinated and more than 200 rapid antigen tests (rapid test) were performed on the staff of the Hospital, with no positive results, he concluded.

Sampling points will also be open from 08.30 in the morning until 18.00 in the afternoon at the Church of Timios Prodromos (new church) in Dromolaxia, from 08.30 in the morning until 13.00 at noon at the Old Grocery of Xylotympos and from 09.30 in the morning until 17.30 afternoon in Lefkara Town Hall Square.
In the province of Famagusta, the three sampling points will operate from 08.30 in the morning until 17.30 in the afternoon, at the Spiritual Center of the Metropolitan Church of Paralimni, at the “Onisillos” Association in Sotira and at the Adult Center of Deryneia.
