The list of the seven richest Cypriots was published by Ceoworld magazine. It should be noted that all seven people on the list saw their fortunes grow and total more than $ 21.7 billion.
According to the magazine, in the first place is the Cypriot citizen John Fredriksen with a fortune reaching $ 11.3 billion. Fredriksen's empire includes oil tankers, cargo ships, liquefied natural gas carriers and drilling vessels. Second on the list is Yakir Gabay, who was born in Israel but acquired Cypriot citizenship. His fortune reaches $ 3.6 billion.
The third richest in Cyprus is the businessman Suat Gunsel with his network reaching $ 1.8 billion, while he is active in sectors such as real estate, banking, tourism, health and fuel. They are followed by Surendra Hiranandani ($ 1.3 billion), Stelios Hatziioannou ($ 1.3 billion), Klelia Hatziioannou ($ 1.2 billion), and Polys Hatziioannou ($ 1.2 billion). Hiranandani is originally from India and is active in the real estate sector.
The well-known Stelios Chatziioannou, on the other hand, is the founder of the Easy Jet airline, in which his brothers are shareholders. He also created the brands easyHotel, easyCar and easyCoffee.
