The trade unions SEK, PEO, PASYDY, DEOK, PASYKI and PA.SY.NO. accuse OKYPY of delays in meeting the timetable that was agreed upon for the conclusion of a Collective Labor Agreement and warn that the attitude of OKYPY is leading workers in public hospitals to take dynamic measures.
The organizations met on Friday and evaluated the efforts they are making to conclude a collective labor agreement for OKYpY staff, who have been hired under personal contracts.
As they state in their statement, at the last meeting held at the offices of OKYPY on November 3, 2022, “despite the unacceptable positions presented by the Organization, it was agreed to continue the dialogue and the management of OKYPY committed to convene a new meeting within November. once again the OKYpY does not keep its commitments and, it seems, will not keep its commitment to complete the conclusion of the collective labor agreement by the end of December 2022”.
In addition, the organizations report that the OKYpY delayed the process agreed in July 2022 for the conclusion of the collective labor agreement, and, “despite the responsibility shown by the trade unions, it is still delayed”.
“The stance taken by OKYPY to date inevitably leads workers in public hospitals to take dynamic measures to assert their demands,” the unions warn, stating that they expect a meeting to take place immediately, as well as other meetings in December to conclude of the process.
Finally, they once again call on OKYPY to adhere to the timetable it had suggested for the conclusion of a collective agreement, so that there are no unpleasant developments.
