A case of conspiracy to commit a felony and extracting money by false pretenses, specifically 275 thousand euros, is being investigated against a 44-year-old and a 41-year-old, who are wanted by the Police.

According to what was reported to the TAE of Limassol by a 60-year-old resident of Limassol, among November and December 2019, he was approached by a 44-year-old private employee and a 41-year-old real estate agent, to invest in a plot of land in Paphos.

As the complainant reported, when the two suspects told him that other people also invested and that he could make profits of up to 650 thousand euros, he himself gave them a sum of 275 thousand euros.

From time to time the 60-year-old asked to be informed about the progress of his investment, with the suspects allegedly telling him that he is on a good track, however various procedural issues were cited for the delay in the payment of his profit.

Recently, the complainant met with the second suspect, who allegedly admitted that he was defrauded and that all his money was received by the 44-year-old, who fled abroad.

After the case was reported to the TAE of Limassol, arrest warrants were obtained against of the two persons, who are wanted for conspiracy to commit a felony and obtaining money by false pretenses.
