Quantity of cannabis more than one kilo, was located and confiscated yesterday by the Police in Nicosia. To facilitate the investigation into the case, two people were arrested and detained.
After evaluating relevant information, YKAN members monitored the home of the 37-year-old in Nicosia. During the monitoring, around 5 p.m. Yesterday, a car with a 28-year-old driver was seen stopping outside the house in question. The 37-year-old was then seen placing a nylon package inside the vehicle.
The members of YKAN immediately intervened, who received the above package, to find that there was a quantity of cannabis, weighing about one kilo. A search of the 28-year-old's car followed, during which the amount of € 1,230 and a mobile phone were located and confiscated.
In a physical search carried out on the 37-year-old, a mobile phone and a quantity of cocaine, weighing 0.2 grams, were found and confiscated. Also, during searches carried out in the house and car of the 37-year-old, a quantity of cannabis weighing a total of approximately 350 grams and the amount of € 1,500 were found.
The 37-year-old and the 28-year-old were arrested for a self-inflicted crime and were taken into custody to facilitate the investigations.
YKAN (Nicosia District Committee) is investigating the case.
