Almost five months have passed since then that Zeta Emilianidou passed away, after a battle she fought in Athens and communities in Cyprus have already begun to honor her memory.
Specifically, the Community Welfare Council of Finiou decided to name a street “Zetas Emilianidou Street”, thus paying tribute to the late Labor Minister, who was respected and appreciated by all of Cyprus.
As the Commissioner of Mountain Communities, Kostas Hambiaouris, reported on social media, the Council held an event in honor of the late minister. “To the man who graced the political life of our country and offered his utmost for the progress and well-being of the country, especially the vulnerable groups. To the person who was always there to support our efforts for the mountain communities”.
Mr. Hambiaouris added that the road that will bear her name is the one that leads to the new wing of Stegi. “Zeta's path will be everyone's path to the conquest of morals, values, humanity, duty and honesty that she herself taught us during her passage through life”.
The event was held in the presence of the deceased's son, Achillea Emilianidis and her sister, Mary Koutselinis.
