In the spontaneous arrest of a 16-year-old, the Police proceeded in the early hours of the morning, to facilitate investigations regarding an investigated case of theft from a car and illegal possession of property.
Around 1.40 am. today, information was received by the Police, that on a street in the area of Lakatamia, unknown persons are trying to break into a parked car. Police patrols immediately went to the area. Upon their arrival, the police officers saw two persons fleeing on foot.
A patrol followed in the area, during which one of the above persons was spotted and stopped for a check. As it was established, this is a 16-year-old man, in whose possession a charger for mobile electronic devices (power bank), the sum of €145 and three credit cards issued in the name of a 40-year-old resident of the area were found and confiscated.
At the scene a 40-year-old man came, who after checking his car, which was parked outside his house, found that a power bank and his wallet had been stolen from it. According to the 40-year-old, inside the wallet were the sum of €200, his wedding ring and his credit cards.
The 16-year-old was arrested for the spontaneous offense of illegal possession of property and was taken into custody to facilitate investigations. .
The Lakatamia Police Station is investigating the case.
