They planned to assassinate Zelensky, two Ukrainians were arrested

(SBU) announced that it had thwarted a Russian plot to assassinate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other high-ranking Ukrainian officials.

As the BBC reported, two colonels of the Ukrainian government's protection unit were arrested .

They were part of a network of agents belonging to Russia's State Security Service (FSB), the SBU said.

They were reportedly looking for willing “executioners” among Zelensky's bodyguards who could take him hostage and kill him.
