Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar described the repainting of the pseudo-state flag in the occupied Pentacle as a “national and spiritual” task.
Mr. Tartart today oversaw the work of the “Pentacle Flag Lighting Association”, which is sponsored by Intergaz.
He said in a statement that the work to protect the Pentacle flag was “our national and spiritual duty” and thanked all those involved in the project.
According to reports from the occupied territories, about 30 tons of red and white paint will be used to spray the Pentadactylus in the colors of the pseudo-state flag, while the whole project is expected to be completed in 20-25 days.
The flag of the pseudo-state has been marking the mountain of Pentadaktylos since 1987, while it was illuminated in 2013.
