With countermeasures, Turkey seeks to calm concerns and limit the chain effects in the occupied territories caused by the actions of the Republic of Cyprus with the arrests for the cases of usurpation of Greek Cypriot properties. According to “P” information, the unrest in the occupied territories mobilized Turkey, which proceeded to endow the so-called compensation committee in the occupied territories. Tens of millions of euros were granted in order to start an effort to buy land belonging to Greek Cypriots – provided of course the legal owners themselves agree – in order to appease the reactions of investors.
