In agreement with the Ministry of Finance on the issue of low-wage employees in the public and wider public sector, the Trade Unions reached PASYDY, OHO – SEC and SIDIKEK – PEO.
In their joint statement they state that the agreement covers all employees, permanent and indefinite, as well as new entrants.
Specifically, the agreement provides for the application of accelerated progression within the combined scales A2-A5-A7(ii), which means that when an employee reaches the point of Class A2 corresponding to the initial level of Class A5, he will be placed in Class A5 and when reach the point of Class A5 that corresponds to the initial Class A7 will be placed in Class A7.
Additionally for serving employees, their salary promotion to Class A7 is provided after a total accumulated service of 18 years , which includes any service in Cl. any mobilisations”, the three trade unions state, noting their finding that “through intensive dialogue in the statutory frameworks, mutually acceptable arrangements are achieved on serious labor issues for the common benefit”.
