Due to the severity of the injuries, a 56-year-old man who suffered extensive burns after an explosion of a gas cylinder was transported on Sunday to a burn clinic of the Nicosia General Hospital. The accident happened after a gas cylinder exploded.
According to the spokesperson of the Fire Service, Andrea Ketti, “the violent ignition was caused due to loss, loss of LPG in a cooking appliance”.
