The operation protocols of the schools were published by the Ministry of Health for the beginning of the new school year.
The protocols are different for each level of education.
Among other things, the Secondary Education protocol states that, in order to enter the school for persons aged 12 and over (this practically applies to children attending Secondary Education) it is necessary to present a Safe Pass [vaccination certificate for COVID-19 disease at least at a single dose and provided that three weeks have elapsed since the date of vaccination, or a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 disease and provided that six months have not elapsed since the date of sampling of their initial positive diagnosis, or a negative laboratory test or rapid antigen detection test for COVID-19 disease with sampling performed within 72 hours, or the European Union Digital Certificate COVID-19 (EU Digital Covid Certificate) only in cases where the vaccination certificate relates to the disease of COVID-19 or recovery from COVID-19 disease.
Therefore, students who attend secondary schools, on the first day of school, but also throughout the operation of the schools, are required to, upon entering the school, demonstrate to the school management or to a person who designated by the Directorate for this purpose, Safe Pass, as defined in the relevant Decree. Students who do not provide proof of Safe Pass will not enter the school.
At the beginning of the new school year and upon their return to school on the first working day, but also throughout the operation of the schools, the teaching and other staff of the Secondary Schools is required as indicated in the School Management or in a person designated by the Directorate for this purpose, upon entering the school, Safe Pass, in accordance with the instructions on Infection (Determination of Measures to Prevent the Spread of Coronavirus COVID-19) Decrees, as well as the guidelines referred to in them Ministry of Health, presenting one of the following:
• Vaccination certificate for COVID-19 disease, at least in one dose and provided that three weeks have elapsed since the date of vaccination.
• Certificate of recovery from COVID-19 and meaning that no more than six months have elapsed from the date of sampling of their initial positive diagnosis.
• Negative laboratory test or rapid antigen detection test for COVID-19 disease with sampling performed within 72 hours.
• European Union Digital Certificate COVID-19 (EU Digital Covid Certificate) only in cases where the certificate relates to vaccination against COVID-19 disease or recovery from COVID-19 disease
The Safe Pass control of students, staff and visitors of the school is done by the School Management or by a person appointed by the Directorate for this purpose, in accordance with the instructions issued on the basis of Infection (Definition of Measures for Preventing the Spread of Coronavirus COVID-19) Decree

The protocol for Primary Education states, among other things, that the use of a protective mask becomes mandatory by the general population, aged 12 and over (practically this applies to children attending Secondary Education), for people who move indoors and outdoors. , except in cases specified in guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
Experts also recommend the use of a mask for younger children. For the best protection of the health of the children themselves and the teachers, the school and the parents should encourage and encourage the children, and especially of the 4th-6th grades of the Primary School to use a face mask at school.
For the correct use of the mask, it is recommended that the children be educated by the teacher and the family.
