The grandiose vision for the Land of tomorrow project on the Larnaca-Dekelia coastal road was presented in the morning by the Foster+ Partners architectural office and the Petrolina group. This is a project which will be implemented gradually and over time, at a cost of several millions, and which is expected to upgrade the area and Larnaca as a whole, and make it attractive for tourism, for investments and also for new homes.

It is expected that with the completion of the project, an area of ​​2 and a half kilometers of coastline will be available to the public, while for the needs of the implementation and operation of the project, 8 thousand jobs will be created. In addition, as mentioned in the press conference, it is expected that 20 thousand trees will be planted, since one of the main goals of the project is the environmental upgrading of the area and the sustainability of the project.

It is important to mention that the development plans of the area, concerning the territory of the Petrolina group, do not include tall buildings.
Although no specific dates have been given for the start of work and completion of the project, there are some specific timetables regarding the next period.
In particular, the seveso area has been cleaned to 99% while by the end of the month applications will be submitted to receive an environmental authority to get an environmental certificate. In May, it is expected that an application will be made for the planning permits and the permits to the Environmental Authority will follow.
