The Ministry of Labor and of Social Insurance informs that, in accordance with the provisions of the legislation on the Regulation of the Operation of Stores and the Conditions of Employment of their Employees, all general stores on June 5, 2023, the day of the Holy Spirit, should remain closed, since the aforementioned date is considered a holiday for general stores based on the legislation in question.
In addition, it is emphasized that shops located in areas that are excluded from the scope of Part IV of the legislation in question, i.e. not fall within the geographical areas of application of the legislation, they are not obliged to follow the provisions of the relevant legislation regarding general store holidays (Article 23). However, employees who will be required to work on the statutory holiday for shop employees (June 5, 2023) should be compensated at a ratio of 1:2 for each hour worked.
