We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of the leading composer Mikis Theodorakis.
The Theatrical Organization of Cyprus, the President and the Members of the Board of Directors, the Artistic Director, the Administrative and Technical staff express their grief for the loss of one of the most important contemporary Greek composers and lyricists with worldwide recognition for his huge artist work.
He was involved in all kinds of music. His compositions include works of opera, symphonic music, chamber music, oratorios, ballet, choral, church music, music of ancient drama, theater, cinema, art, folk song, folk oratorios and post-symphonic works.
He collaborated with THOK in the productions “Antigone” (2005) and “A Hostage” (2008).
The Cyprus Theatrical Organization expresses its sincere condolences to his family.
