Three arrests for robbery and theft

Three people, men aged 38, 25 and 28, were arrested by members of the Police in the provinces of Limassol and Larnaca, in connection with investigated cases of robbery and theft.

Members of the Limassol Police Department, after gathering information, located yesterday at noon, and proceeded with the arrest of a 25-year-old man who was wanted in connection with an investigated robbery case.

A second suspect in the robbery case, a 38-year-old man, was arrested later yesterday by members of the Limassol Police Department, also with a court warrant.

This morning, the two suspects are expected to be brought before a court for issuing arrest warrants, for the purpose of investigating the case.

The robbery was committed on May 18 at noon, in an area in Limassol, against a 27-year-old man. While the 27-year-old was driving his car on a street in Limassol, two unknown persons allegedly stopped his vehicle and with threats one of them stole from the car, his mobile phone and a bag containing the amount of 450 euros.

During the incident, the same suspect attacked the 27-year-old, punching him in the face. The 27-year-old visited the Limassol General Hospital the same day, where he was found to have a hematoma on his lips and after receiving treatment, he was discharged.

The case is being investigated by the Limassol TAE.

A third person, a 28-year-old man, was arrested by members of the Zygio Police Station, with a court warrant, in connection with an investigated case of theft of property, from a parked car.

The theft was committed over the weekend, May 15-17, in the area of Larnaca, where the vehicle was parked. A laptop, two bags containing tools, worth 1,380 euros, as well as a small bag containing the amount of 295 euros were allegedly stolen from the vehicle.

For the same case, another man, aged 39, was arrested on May 21, by members of the Larnaca Police Department, with a court warrant. At the residence of the 39-year-old, the members of TAE located a number of tools, which are being examined to find out whether they are items that have been stolen.

The case is being investigated by the Oroklini Police Station.
