Three more patients succumbed to the coronavirus, bringing the new cases to 2,821

The blacklist of the dead from coronavirus is getting longer, after the Ministry of Health announced the death of three more patients within a week, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,194. At the same time, another 2,821 cases were identified, from a total of 64,528 diagnostic tests. 

The Ministry of Health announces that for the week 21 – 27 October 2022:< /p>

  • 3 deaths have been announced
  • Relate to:
    • Female, aged 82, who died on 20/10/2022
    • Female, aged 87, who died on 23/10/2022
    • Male, aged 90, who died on 26/10/2022
  • Total number of deaths with the final cause of the disease COVID-19: 1,194.
  • < b>59 patients with COVID-19 are hospitalized in OKYPY hospitals
  • 8 in serious condition (ICU: 1 off ventilator/3 intubated, MAF: 4)
  • 4 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be intubated due to COVID in the Intensive Care Unit.

Diagnostic tests:

  • Performed overall 64,528 diagnostic tests
  • 2,821 new cases detected (total 599,118 cases).
  • Positivity rate in all tests 4.37%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR) :

  • 2,136 molecular tests were performed
  • 169 positive cases occurred
  • Positivity rate 7.91%

Total number of rapid detection tests antigen (Rapid Test):

  • 62,392 performed rapid antigen detection tests
  • There were 2,652 positive cases
  • Positivity rate 4.25%

Private initiative:

  • 1,767 molecular tests were performed, 100 were identifiedpositive cases (positivity rate 5.66%)
  • 41,956 rapid antigen detection tests were performed, 2,469 positive cases were identified ( positivity rate 5.88%)

Through the programs of the Ministry of Health, 20,436 rapid antigen detection tests were performed. 183 positive cases were detected.

  • Sampling points: 10,576 rapid detection tests detected 105 positive cases (positivity rate 0.99%)

Education

  • Primary Education: 425 tests rapid antigen detection test, no positive cases detected (positivity rate 0%)
  • Medium Education: 578 rapid detection test, no positive cases detected (positivity rate 0%)
  • Special Schools: 328 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 2 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.61%)

Other

  • National Guard: conducted 229 rapid antigen detection tests, no positive cases detected (0% positivity rate)
  • Nursing homes: 4,913 rapid antigen detection tests performed, detected 44 positive cases (positivity rate 0.9%)
  • Closed structures: 3,387 rapid antigen detection tests performed 32 new cases (positive rate 0.94%).
