Three new partners strengthen Deloitte Cyprus

<p>The management team of Deloitte Cyprus is strengthened with three new partners, effective from June 1, 2024. Giannis Ioannidis, Andreas Youselli and Panagiotis Marinou have been promoted to Partners in the Corporate Risk Management Services department and in the Tax & Legal Services respectively. These new leaders bring expertise in cybersecurity, support services for organizations, and local and international tax advice, areas that reflect important issues for the market.</p>
<p>Commenting on the recent appointments of the new partners, the Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte Cyprus, Pieris Markou, said: “The promotion to partner is an important milestone in their careers, and it is a recognition that they have earned with their passion and dedication. <p> < p><strong>Yiannis Ioannidis – Corporate Risk Management Services | Cyber ​​Security & Strategic Risks </strong></p>
<p>Mr. Ioannidis has over 15 years of experience serving clients in Cyprus, Europe and the Middle East. His main areas of expertise include Cyber ​​Security Strategy planning, Risk and Crisis Management, as well as infrastructure security, with a particular focus on the Financial Services sector. In addition, he leads the Defence, Security and Justice sector for Deloitte Cyprus.</p>
<p>Mr. Ioannidis holds a BSc in Business Information Systems from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an MBA from CIIM. He also holds professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Certified Red Team Operator (CRTO), ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Lead Implementer, ISO 22301 Lead Auditor/Lead Implementer, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC). He is a member of the Pancypriot IT Business Association (CITEA), of which he is also a member of the Board of Directors.</p>
<p><strong>Andreas Youselli – Tax & Legal Services | Business Process Solutions and Organization Support Services </strong></p>
<p>Mr. Iuselli has more than 18 years of experience serving clients in various industries and jurisdictions, specializing in accounting, banking, business administration, corporate governance, as well as financial statement analysis and preparation. He acts as a business consultant to a number of private clients for their personal and corporate affairs and to large organizations regarding expansion and/or restructuring, cost savings, operational issues and management of their businesses in Cyprus and abroad.</p>
<p>Mr. Yuselli holds a BBA in Accounting and Finance and an MBA from CIIM. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Cyprus Association of Certified Public Accountants (CPA), as well as a member of the Corporate Governance and Business Ethics committee of the CPA.</p>
<p><strong>Panagiotis Marinou – Tax & Legal Services | Direct Taxation</strong></p>
<p>Mr. Marinou has more than 14 years of experience specializing in local and international taxation. It provides tax compliance and tax advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including large Cypriot groups and multinationals operating in Cyprus. In addition, he specializes in Transfer Pricing legislation and advises clients on Corporate Restructuring and Mergers & Acquisitions, gathering significant experience in tax structuring, diagnostic testing and tax neutral reorganizations. He also leads the Oil, Gas and Chemicals sector for Deloitte Cyprus and serves major multinational Oil and Gas companies operating on the island.</p>
<p>Mr. Marinos holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and also holds the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT). He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a member of the Cyprus Association of Chartered Accountants (SELC), while he serves on the Association's Energy Committee.</p>
