The District Court of Limassol issued a five-day detention order against the three persons who were arrested, on suspicion, in connection with the attack by hooded men, on young persons, due to their football preferences.
The incident occurred on the evening of the 30 of May, when 20 to 30 persons, wearing hoods and insignia of a specific group, appeared in a gathering place of young people, in the area of the Agia Phyla high school, and attacked those who did not support their own group.
Two young persons, 19 and 20 years old, were injured by the attack of the hooded men, who were seen a short time later in the tourist area of Germasogeia, where they attacked a group of other young people.
Yesterday the Police proceeded to arrest a 16-year-old, a 19-year-old and a 21-year-old, on the basis of testimonies and closed-circuit surveillance examinations.
The three suspects made various allegations that are being investigated, while today they were taken to the Limassol Provincial Court, which ordered their detention for a period of five days, in relation to the offenses of conspiracy, carrying an offensive weapon and assault.
