23-year-old Liam Jones from Dundee, who was on the MSC Euribia, fell overboard from the cruise ship last Saturday near the Netherlands.

A spokesman for MSC Cruises said that the authorities in Southampton boarded the ship to carry out inquiries for the coroner.

“I am extremely worried about what has happened and I am desperately trying to find information,” Sophie, 20, told the Courier newspaper.
