The President of the Republic chaired a meeting on dealing with the consequences of the new global financial crisis at the Presidential Palace, with the & nbsp; Government & nbsp; Spokesman stating after the meeting that, among other things, the & nbsp; reduction of the excise tax and & nbsp; in electricity. & nbsp;

By instructions of the President of the Republic, chaired by the Minister of Finance, successive meetings will be held in the coming days, in order to consider and specify the additional measures that will be proposed for approval by the Council of Ministers, next Friday, May 27.
Asked, Mr. Pelekanos said that “all the measures that could be taken have been discussed, as well as the suggestions of the social partners, the political parties, the Economy Council, the Fiscal Council. A series of discussions will follow in the coming days, in order to present a holistic approach to the Council of Ministers, a comprehensive proposal that will take into account all the parameters “.
