Tours of the province, inauguration of development projects, inspection of others in progress, laying of the foundation stone of the new Archaeological Museum and other projects of smaller scope, but of decisive importance for the welfare of the citizens, are included in the heavy schedule for thecoming week as well of the President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis.

In the program also stands out the event during which President Anastasiadis will honor nursesfor their valuable services during the pandemic.

On Monday, January 23, at 11.45 in the morning the foundation stone of the new Archaeological Museum will be laid by the President of the Republic. This is a large development project which will be built on the site of the old Nicosia General Hospital. The new Archaeological Museum will add significant new value to the area. A short distance away are the Archaeological Museum, the House of Representatives, the Nicosia Municipal Theater and the Cyprus Theater Organization. It is perhaps the most important investment of the state in cultural infrastructure, with great importance for the capital, but also for Cyprus.

At 7 pm of the same day, President Anastasiades will address a greeting and award the State Awards. Architecture Awards 2022, at an event to be held at the Presidential Palace.

On Tuesday, January 24,at 6:30 p.m., President Anastasiades will address a greeting and will award prizes at the awarding ceremony of the “Pan Cypriot Green Cities and Green Communities of Cyprus” and the “Pan Cypriot Environmental Awards for Organizations and Businesses”. The awards aim to recognize and immediately highlight of cities, communities, organizations and businesses that have adopted and developed environmentally friendly policies and practices and contribute to sustainable development, improving the quality of life of citizens and protecting the environment.

The Wednesday, January 25 at 6.30 in the afternoon an event will be held at the Presidential Palace in honor of the fighters of the 1963-'64 Turkish rebellion. The President of the Republic will address a greeting.

On Thursday, January 26, at 10.30 in the morning there will be a meeting of the Council of Ministers. At 7:00 p.m., an event will be held at the Larnaca Sports Center to honor nurses for managing the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will give President Anastasiades the opportunity to thank the people who were on the front line to deal with the pandemic. The President of the Republic will again express the grateful thanks of the state, emphasizing the selflessness and zeal shown by the nurses in carrying out their duty in the very difficult conditions created by the pandemic.

On Friday, January 27, President Anastasiades will tour Larnaca. First stop, at 9.15 in the morning, the area where the oil refineries were located, on the Larnaca sea front – Decelia. He will inspect the area and be informed about its development processes. Efforts to move oil facilities from Larnaca began in the late 1990s.

The Anastasiadis Government, with a program and hard work, fulfilled its promises, satisfying a constant request of the people of Larnaca, giving a new perspective to the city of Zeno. Then at 9.45am, President Anastasiades will inspect the works for the 3rd phase of the reconstruction of the Larnaca-Dekelia coastal road, in the Oroklini area and at 10.15am he will inaugurate the new facilities of the Larnaca Tennis Club.

At 10.45am, President Anastasiades will inaugurate the renovated Archaeological Museum of Larnaca, the place where everyone can learn about the city's rich history. At 11.30 in the morning, President Anastasiades will inaugurate projects in Zouchouri Square which, together with the new Municipal Market of Larnaca, will give the city's shopping center a new look. At 6.45 pm President Anastasiades will inaugurate the Search and Rescue Coordination Center and at 7.30 pm he will inaugurate the new wing of the Larnaca General Hospital.

On Saturday, January 28, President Anastasiades will tour Troodos. At 9 am he will inspect the construction works of the Limassol – Saitta highway. This is a project that will make a decisive contribution to the revitalization of many communities and will be a strong support for the rural world to remain in their villages in the wider mountainous area of ​​Limassol, limiting the phenomenon of urbanization.

Then at 9.45 in the morning he will inspect the Troodos Observatory in Agridia. The project is important for the wider area of ​​Pitsilia and Troodos, since it is expected to generate traffic in the area. At 10.30 in the morning, President Anastasiades will visit the Troodos Regional Hospital, in Kyperounda. He will inaugurate the Tuberculosis Clinic and First Aid.

At 11.30 am the President of the Republic will inaugurate the Kyperoundas Primary School and at 12.30 pm he will lay the foundation stone of the Troodos Ski Center.

On Sunday, January 29, President Anastasiades will visit the Vassilikos area. At 9.20 in the morning at the Offices of the Zygio Community Council he will meet with the Coordinating Committee of the nine communities of the Vassilikos area.

Then, at 10 in the morning the President of the Republic will inaugurate the gas terminal facilities of the VLPG company. The operation of the terminal creates conditions for further development and leads the Cypriot market into a new era of gas storage and management.

At 10.45 in the morning, President Anastasiades will visit the Energy Center in Vassiliko, a project of the highest priority and of strategic importance for the Republic of Cyprus.

The last station in the area will be the Fire Station in Vassiliko, the inauguration of which will be celebrated by the President of the Republic.
