When the term of office of the Governor of the Central Bank is completed, relevant announcements will be made, the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulidis, said on Friday.
Specifically, when asked by a journalist, attending the international conference of the Central Bank for the Promotion of Financial Literacy in Cyprus, if decisions have been taken, since the end of the term of office of the Governor of the Central Bank, Constantinos Herodotos, is approaching, President Christodoulidis said that “when his term of office is completed, relevant announcements”.
“An excellent job is being done at the Central Bank”, headed by Mr. Herodotou, he said.
He noted that the conference organized by the Central Bank is “for a very important issue”, financial illiteracy “or if you want how we can put actions together to tackle this problem”.
