“With the help of the Fort Worth Police Department dive team and drones, the body was recovered about an hour later Trojacek said.
Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker said the city has mental health counselors available to support those who may need it.
The CBS News Texas helicopter was over the lake and recorded the scenes as a body was pulled from the water and placed in a special bag.
The rest of the events and Thursday's activities have been cancelled.
CrossFit said it is working closely with investigators on the case.
