A fatal accident occurred on the old Limassol-Paphos road beyond Petra tou Romiou in the early hours of Sunday (6/11) with the victim being a 74-year-old hunter.

According to the first information, under circumstances that are being investigated, the 74-year-old lost control of his vehicle, hit the dividing railings and then overturned and ended up in a field.
The unfortunate man was spotted in the early morning by passing drivers. According to the assistant in charge of Limassol Traffic, Emilio Kafa, from the violent impact, as he said, the vehicle overturned and ended up on the bank of a field.
The 74-year-old driver, who was wearing a seat belt, crashed into the vehicle during the impact, as a result of which he lost his life.
Hunting equipment was found in Giorgos Andreou's vehicle. The exact cause of death of the 74-year-old is expected to become clear from the scheduled autopsy.
The police are continuing investigations to clarify the causes of the new tragedy.
