The “flag” of AEK remains on the web of “AEK Arena” for the next two years. The announcement for the renewal of the cooperation with Ivan Triskovski was not made yesterday, and as it became known, it will probably (except unexpectedly) be made today due to some procedural issues. The experienced striker has agreed to sign a new two-year closed contract.
The initial announcement of the renewal of the cooperation with Triskovski spread great enthusiasm in the ranks of the world of AEK, with the management of Andros Karapatakis proving for the umpteenth time the methodology with which he works, but also the high, long-term goals he has set. Ivan Triskovski is a player – a symbol for AEK, as he is the first scorer of all time in the 27-year history of the unified club of Larnaca.
He has long since surpassed 100 goals with the yellow-green jersey in all competitions and continues to score non-stop. This year, in the first five games of the league, he has achieved a remarkable record, scoring in all league games (one goal against Doxa, Omonia, Paphos, Olympiakos and two against Apollon). The 34-year-old international striker from Skopje is also the top scorer of AEK in the “AEK Arena”, scoring a total of 47 goals in all competitions. On August 16, 2018, he scored a hat-trick in the match against Sturm Graz for the Europa League and became the top scorer of Cypriot teams in European competitions.
Another record for Triskovski, which he shares with the old ace of Omonia Sotiris Kaiafas, is the four goals in a European match of a Cypriot team. Triskovski scored a goal frame on August 1, 2019 against Levski Sofia and even away from home. On the occasion of the renewal of Triskovski's contract, the sports website “Kerkida” presented in detail his achievements in the Cypriot championship, from January 2016 when he joined AEK:
