Turkey strongly supports the vision of two states based on sovereign equality and equal international status, the Turkish President told the Turkish leader during a telephone conversation between Ersin Tatar and Tayyip Erdogan.
According to reports in the occupied territories, a statement from the “presidency” states that Mr. Tatar called the Turkish President last night to wish him a happy birthday. He also spoke to him about the Cyprus issue, saying that he continues the preparations for the informal 5 + UN meeting on the Cyprus issue. Tayyip Erdogan reportedly told him that Turkey resolutely supports his vision of two states based on sovereign equality and equal international status. “This strengthens our unity and our position was noted by the (Turkish President), emphasizing the importance of the Turkish Cypriot people continuing to show unity and sympathy in this process.”
According to the same statement, in a telephone conversation, Erdogan assured Mr. Tatar that Turkey's solidarity with the pseudo-state would continue during the pandemic, including vaccinations and health support.
