Two cases of the sub-variant “Omicron 2” were detected in Greece. According to information, the two cases came from travelers from abroad and were detected at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport, during the last week.
The scientific community is on hold, as the new data brought about by the new variant of the Omicron mutation are not yet known.
However, the common position of epidemiologists is that a determining factor that will determine the severity of the new sub-variant is whether it is more contagious.
